Chat messages and questions you ask about your lease
Community posts and comments you create
Pages visited, features used, and time spent in the app

Use your lease text to train AI models

Service Providers:
Supabase: Database and authentication (data encrypted at rest and in transit)
OpenAI: Lease document processing (text only, no images; not used for model training per our agreement)
Google Gemini: Chat responses (sanitized, no raw lease text)
Stripe: Payment processing and identity verification
Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, and security
PostHog: Product analytics (no lease content; only usage events)
Sentry: Error monitoring (no lease content; only error logs)
All service providers are bound by contracts to protect your data and use it only to provide their services to us.
Legal Requirements:
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order
We may share information to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or ensure user safety
Business Transfers:
If LeaseSnap is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred. You will be notified and given the option to delete your account.
Confirm Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with all processors.
Active Accounts: We retain your information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.
Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we immediately remove:
All lease documents and extracted data
Chat history and analysis results
Profile information
Community posts and comments (anonymized as "deleted account" to preserve thread continuity)
Legal Retention: We may retain minimal transaction records (no lease content) for accounting and legal compliance purposes (typically 7 years for financial records).
Backups: Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
Confirm retention periods comply with NY record-keeping laws and business needs.
We protect your information with industry-standard security measures:
Encryption: All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
Authentication: Passwords hashed with bcrypt; optional multi-factor authentication
